Yay! The time has finally come to show you both the progression shots and the final product looks like.
But before I rush into it let me say just a little bit about this painting. For those you who are not Christian, simply try to appreciate the effort and feeling that went into this artwork.
This painting was inspired by a Relief Society lesson (like Sunday school but for women) about woman of virtue through gospel history. We started off with none other than Mary, Mother to our Saviour. I was inspired by her courage, faith and absolute humility despite the fact that she was to bear the King of all Kings.
I would also like to thank my beautiful model Kerry Beldon, she too inspires me with her faith and positive spirit.
And now for the reveal.
Below are a few Progress photos of how it looked from beginning to end.
and a close up of my final product.
I can’t tell you how happy I am to be making art again! this isn’t the last of you’ll see of Mother Mary, I’ll also be doing some charcoal sketches before I start with the next Woman in my Queens of Light Series; Esther.
